Mr. Tamole, founded by Andrés Medina Carreto and Margarita M. Carreto, brings the bold, comforting flavors of Puebla, Mexico, to Boston. The mother and son team began their journey sharing tamales, mole poblano, and salsas at farmers markets before expanding into their first brick-and-mortar stall at Boston Public Market. Their menu features Puebla-style tamales, tacos, tortas, mole poblano, and green pipián, all crafted with family recipes and a passion for tradition. Andrés and Margarita were members of the Boston Public Market’s 2024 Entrepreneurship Forum, powered by Citizens, a program designed to strengthen the financial and business knowledge of early-stage, minority-owned small businesses.
