Both Boston’s gay country dancing scene & Youth on Fire were born out of community care in the AIDS crisis. “Skirt Night” is an infamous 90s tradition, created by our dance elders to fundraise & have some good old queer fun. Wear your own or donate to borrow from our collection!
We’ll teach dance lessons throughout & play some of our favorites – you can practice at home from tinyurl.com/linedanceresource. All you need are shoes you can move in and a heart open to understanding & upholding the nuanced legacies of our ancestors & elders.
