RFP for Architect

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Boston Public Market Association (“BPMA”), a Massachusetts not-for-profit corporation formed under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, hereby gives notice of the issuance of a request for proposals for design services in connection with the development of the Boston Public Market project, consisting of approximately 30,000 square feet of space in the so-called Parcel 7 building, located at the corner of Blackstone and New Sudbury Street in the downtown district of Boston (the “Project”).

The Project plans build out the ground-floor space within the Parcel 7 building with public market uses consistent with those described in the BPMA’s response to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources RFP for Public Food Market Developer and Operator dated December 2011. This response is available on the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources website at the following web address: http://www.mass.gov/eea/agencies/agr/public-market/.

The BPMA request for proposals seeks proposals from qualified design firms with specific experience in several critical areas: (1) the design of large-scale food retailing projects; (2) the design of improvements to facilities owned by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation or similar agencies; (3) complex multi-use projects in the City of Boston.

Responses to the request for proposals are due no later than 12:00 noon EST on Thursday, May 23, 2013. Copies of the request for proposals may be obtained by contacting the Boston Public Market Association’s designated representative: Yanni Tsipis, c/o Colliers International, 160 Federal Street, Boston, MA 02110 or via email at: yanni.tsipis@colliers.com. Late submissions in response to the request for proposals will not be accepted.
