Last Wednesday I walked into the Boston Public Market without a plan other than to shop for ingredients to make my dinner. Right when I stepped through the door I immediately noticed the abundance of the fall products. Everywhere I looked there were apples, pumpkins, squashes, and brussels sprouts. I was inspired and decided that to embrace the amazing season, I would prepare a yummy fall-based dinner.
I found a tasty recipe using the new Dinner Tonight display that accomplished my fall spirit craving – Stuffed Delicate Squash – and I started navigating the market to collect all of the necessary ingredients.

Following the recipe guide, I picked up juicy onions and fresh garlic from Siena Farms, spicy red hot peppers from Stillman’s Farm, salty ricotta from Wolf Meadow, perfect squash from Harlow’s, and yummy walnuts from Q’s. Interacting with each vendor is a unique aspect to the Boston Public Market because you get to experience the enthusiasm and appreciation that the vendors have for their products first hand. For me, this passion was contagious and I could not wait to get home to start preparing my dinner!
Arriving at my house I channeled my passion and went straight to the kitchen. I excitedly placed my farm fresh items on the counter, turned on the oven, got out my cutting board, and started chopping away. 30 minutes later I was sitting at my table enjoying my Dinner Tonight creation. It really was that easy!
Dinner tonight is the perfect tool to help you cook with local farm fresh ingredients every day. Stop by the Market to experience it for yourself!
