The Boston Public Market will be open seven days a week – an increase from the current five days - beginning July 18, and the city’s local food marketplace will celebrate this milestone with several festivities including an outdoor beer garden on the plaza outside the Market, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, July 18 and Tuesday, July 19.
The outdoor beer garden will feature $5 local draft beer from Market vendor Hopsters Alley, music, and lawn games. Hopsters Alley will be pouring their Newtonian (a double hopped hazy aroma-forward New England DIPA), Guerilla Saison (a peppery and dry Saison), Comet Citra (an aroma grapefruit-forward IPA), and Leaf Blower (a crushable, balanced light ale, perfect for the hot weather). The event is weather permitting and ages 21+ only.

Other activities that week, including knife sharpening and free samplings of local jams and monkfish, can be found at bostonpublicmarket.org/happenings, along with additional ongoing happenings.
Since the Boston Public Market opened in July 2015, the indoor, year round marketplace for locally sourced groceries and specialty agricultural products has welcomed over 1.6 million visitors, and vendors have seen over $11 million total in sales – both surpassing initial projections. Five of the Market’s 40 permanent vendors have expanded their spaces since the Market opened, including four farms. 23 short term “pop-up” vendors have appeared at the Market. One short term vendor, Jennifer Lee's Gourmet Bakery, became a new permanent vendor in March.
